Guest Services Representative

The purpose of this position is to deliver outstanding customer service to all patrons and tenants of the property. This position is one of the first points of contact for customers and tenants and must have a positive attitude towards all clients. This position is also responsible for administering specific property programs such as Gift Card and Peterborough Transit Ticket Sales, Community Booth Event bookings and marketing support.
Part time: maximum 24 hours per week.
Availability: Successful candidate will be available evenings, weekends, and some days.
Role Responsibilities:
• At all times, conduct yourself in a professional manner that demonstrates exceptional customer service to patrons and tenants by being knowledgeable about the property and its offerings,
• Assist with the sales and daily reconciliation of Lansdowne Place Gift Cards and Peterborough Transit Bus Passes;
• Assist in the planning and execution of marketing programs (events/social
• Assist in the administration of the “lost and found” program by logging items and helping to match lost items with owners;
• Provide directions within the property to shoppers;
• Answer incoming calls on both the internal and external telephone lines;
• Respond to general email inquiries of the mall and community;
• Provide support to Security, Operations, Marketing and Administration. Communicate with other departments in a timely manner to relay tenant concerns/requests;
• Maintain employee manuals by ensuring the information is up to date;
• Coordinate the rental of strollers, wheelchairs, and walker rentals;
• Administer refunds for vending machines upon request;
• Continuously organize and stock all information brochures at the kiosk and other directories within the property;
• Log calls from tenants who require assistance from another department in the property;
• Log radio communications from other departments;
• Complete projects as assigned.

Requirements:
• Formal Education and/or Certifications.
• Completed or working towards Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
Years of Experience:
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Customer Service position.
Specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Someone who uses non-verbal cues such as eye contact and gestures that convey empathy, respect, and interest,
• Ability to problem solve;
• Self starter that is motivated to complete tasks without being prompted by management;
• Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, EXCEL, and WORD;
• Outgoing, positive personality that loves to engage and interact with people;
• Excellent worth ethic, with a can-do spirit;
• Great team player who supports and motivates;
• Openness to learn and take on new responsibilities/procedures thoroughly and efficiently;
• First Aid, CPR and AED Certifications an asset;
• Respect for Health and Safety processes.
